Are you ready to make a forever home for one of our cats or kittens? Great! Let's get started. The price for adopting a cat or kitten from us is $70 for one cat or $100 for two. Why the discount for two cats? Because many of our cats are related and have been hand-raised in foster homes together. Since they were raised together, they tend to adjust better to a new home by staying together. For that reason, we encourage people to adopt two or more cats at the same time.
ADOPTION APPLICATIONS can be found by clicking here. These applications are required for adoption and one must be 18 years of age to adopt a cat or kitten. Payment can be made either on this website or in person. If paying on this website, we accept donations through PayPal and payment is accepted in the form of echeck, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or bank debit card. Please see below for payment link:

Please be prepared for your new kitten or cat. That means have a litterbox ready with kitty litter and have some food for your kitty. You also need to make preparations at your house. Have you discussed the decision to adopt with your family or roommate? Is everyone in the house prepared to have a new pet? Although all of our kitties are litterbox trained when we give them to you, accidents are almost inevitable. Have you thought about what you will do if kitty has an accident outside the litterbox? Do you have the money necessary to be a responsible pet owner? Even though all of our kitties have had their necessary tests and vaccinations, shots have to be kept up to date (especially rabies shots - this is North Carolina law). Have you considered whether your cat will be an exclusively indoor cat, part-time indoor/part-time outdoor, or solely an outdoor cat? If your cat will be outdoors, it will need to have a collar and tags in addition to the other items previously mentioned and you will need to think about what type of flea/tick protection you want to use.
These are just a few of the considerations you need to put into adopting a cat. For a more complete discussion of cat adoption issues, please go to Petfinder's cat adoption section for a look at the reasons for adopting versus buying a cat, things to consider before you adopt a cat, and what to expect after adopting a cat. The more informed an owner is about cat ownership, the more responsible that cat owner will be! Learn all you can and think about how you will handle any issues that might arise before they present themselves so you can be a forever home for a needy kitty.
